About the role
- Develop and execute a comprehensive partnership strategy focused on expanding Permutive's data capabilities and activation channels.
- Identify, research, and prioritize potential data partners (identity resolution, audience enrichment, measurement) and activation partners (SSPs, DSPs, ad servers) aligned with product roadmap and objectives.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at prospective and existing partner organizations, from technical teams to executive leadership.
- Lead the full partnership lifecycle including outreach, qualification, proposal development, commercial modeling, and contract negotiation.
- Collaborate across legal, product, engineering, sales, client success and marketing teams to ensure seamless integration and successful go-to-market strategies.
- Define and track KPIs for partnerships and regularly report progress and impact to senior leadership.
- Proactively identify opportunities to optimize and expand existing partnerships and address challenges.
- Act as the central point of contact for partnership-related inquiries and issues, ensuring effective communication and resolution.
- Report to the VP, Partnerships and Operations and build a robust partner network that drives mutual growth and unlocks new opportunities.
Requirements
- Extensive experience leading business development with a strong focus on establishing and growing strategic partnerships within the ad tech industry.
- A deep and current understanding of the advertising technology landscape, including programmatic media, audience solutions, and measurement data products.
- Experience working directly with Supply-Side Platforms (SSPs) and a strong network of contacts within these organizations.
- Proven track record of driving significant growth and achieving measurable results through successful partnerships.
- Exceptional strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to identify market trends and translate insights into actionable partnership strategies.
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence at all levels, including executive.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-faceted relationships and navigate diverse stakeholder groups.
- Proactive, results-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to collaborate closely with legal, product, engineering, sales, client success and marketing teams to ensure seamless integration and go-to-market strategies.
- Must be located in a commutable distance to New York; role requires in-person collaboration in the New York office at least 2 days per week.
- Familiarity with data collaboration and privacy-enhancing technologies (preferred).
- Experience developing and executing joint marketing and communication strategies with partners (preferred).
