About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the primary liaison for the Chief Development & Marketing Officer, managing and prioritizing incoming requests
- Draft and edit talking points, briefing documents, presentations, and correspondence for development leadership
- Manage meeting scheduling, travel and meeting itineraries, and administrative needs
- Support Board of Trustees and senior leadership meeting materials and follow-up
- Represent the CDMO in select meetings when appropriate
- Assist with cross-departmental initiatives, campaign projects, and donor stewardship efforts
- Monitor project milestones, decisions, action items, and departmental deadlines
- Coordinate strategic initiatives across development functions
- Translate organizational goals into measurable work plans
- Facilitate strategic planning sessions and track departmental progress
- Evaluate workflows and identify resource efficiencies and process enhancements
- Maintain master calendars, reporting schedules, and performance dashboards
- Evaluate fundraising metrics, analyze performance, and identify growth trends
- Synthesize data into reports and presentations for executive leadership, the Board of Directors, and key funders
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree required in Communications, Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, or a related field
- 1–3 years of experience in development, project coordination, administrative support, or related roles
- Experience in a non-profit environment is preferred
- Proven experience organizing complex projects, managing multiple deadlines simultaneously, and coordinating across diverse teams
- Comfort working with data analysis and basic reporting tools
- Familiarity with fundraising systems and CRMs, such as Salesforce, is highly desirable
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational instincts and discretion
- Proven ability to build positive working relationships across all levels of an organization
