About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own and lead client development activities within the Southeast Region
- Identify, qualify, and engage prospects and reactivate dormant client accounts
- Lead proposal development, including scope definition, pricing strategy, team selection, and presentations
- Coordinate cross-functional pursuit teams and develop technically sound, commercially competitive proposals
- Lead client presentations, bid defenses, and scope negotiations
- Build and maintain case studies, capability statements, and pursuit collateral
- Conduct consultative selling and discovery conversations across client stakeholder levels
- Translate technical and operational requirements into proposals and value propositions
- Drive new-logo acquisition and convert prospects in pharma, biotech, cell and gene therapy, and advanced manufacturing
- Achieve annual bookings and revenue targets and maintain a qualified sales pipeline
- Perform win/loss analysis and improve conversion rates
- Collaborate with client engagement, regional, practice, delivery, and marketing teams
- Mentor business development team members and support commercial playbooks and sales enablement tools
- Represent Project Farma at conferences, trade shows, professional associations, and networking forums
- Contribute to thought leadership through webinars, panels, white papers, and social media
- Monitor competitive, market, regulatory, and client trends
- Maintain pipeline data in Salesforce CRM and execute sales reporting, forecasting, and pipeline reviews
- Participate in weekly business development meetings and commercial planning
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Life Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience in CQV engineering, cGMP facility start-up, project management, and/or comparable military experience
- 20+ years of experience in life sciences, biotech, or technical consulting
- Strong understanding of regulatory environments, R&D, manufacturing, and commercialization
- Proven track record managing $10M+ accounts with complex stakeholder ecosystems
- Minimum 7 years of progressive business development, sales leadership, or client-facing commercial experience within consulting or professional services
- Ability to synthesize market trends, client needs, and internal capabilities into actionable strategies
- Deep experience in consultative selling, contract negotiation, and value-based pricing
- Familiarity with delivery models, project governance, and professional-services performance metrics
- Experience with CRM/PSA platforms, data visualization tools, and collaboration platforms
- Preferred experience with Salesforce and/or Kantata
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills
- Willingness to travel up to 50–75% or as required
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

- Preferred: advanced degree in engineering, life sciences, or business
- Preferred: consulting or life sciences project delivery experience

- Preferred: active participation in organizations such as ISPE, PDA, or RAPS
