Global Strategic Sourcing Manager – Fixed term

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead team of Strategic Sourcing Specialists
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for instrument services and aftermarket parts to optimize cost savings, quality and supplier performance
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish partnerships
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
- Develop supplier management program and monitor supplier performance, resolve issues, and implement improvements to enhance quality, service delivery, and cost-effectiveness
- Analyze pricing and cost structures to identify value opportunities for PerkinElmer and its customers
- Implement value driving initiatives and track value achieved through sourcing activities
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers
- Ensure contracts are compliant with legal and organizational requirements
- Monitor contract compliance throughout the supplier relationship
Requirements
What you’ll need- Equivalent of 8+ years of combined sourcing, strategy development, or data analytics / insights experience
- Ability to analyze large data sets, identify trends and develop action plans based on findings
- Deep understanding of vendor/supplier communications and best practices
- Thorough knowledge of developing, deploying and awarding service contracts (RFP)
- Strong negotiation skills and buying strategies culminating in positive financial results
- Experience in similar or related industry.
