About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Be the local Events leader in NAM, partnering with Senior GTM stakeholders to refine our NAM value proposition; manage a team of 6-8 Direct Reports, ensure a highly engaged and effective team; execute process changes quickly and effectively with the team
  • Conduct weekly 121s with direct reports, ensure team are highly engaged, motivated and supported to hit ambitious sales targets
  • Recruit, onboard and coach a world-class Event Sales team: strong focus on constant skill development
  • Act as a consultant to your direct reports for customer or operational escalations
  • Proactively conduct ad-hoc analyses to identify gaps or opportunities to improve processes - surface insights to Head of Event Sales, agree change initiatives
  • Quickly and effectively land change to improve the way we do things - ensure smooth roll out amongst the NAM Event Sales team; sharing feedback to iterate quickly
  • Partner with senior GTM leaders, ensure strong collaboration with AMs and NAM Sales
  • Establish strong process to capture customer feedback, identify key insights, drive improvement initiatives and track impact to close the loop
  • Lead the build out of Amtrav Event Sales (10% bet) - leverage existing foundations, define and execute the business plan - aligning with GM Events & Amtrav Senior leaders
  • Share best practices and learnings with Head of Event Sales and GM Events to ensure shared learnings;
  • Identify and surface nuances in the NAM market and lead a tailored approach where necessary

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10+ years in Event Sales, MICE Group Travel, or Sales
  • Sales leadership experience with a proven track record of achieving targets
  • People management experience with a proven ability to engage and motivate teams
  • Deep understanding of the NAM events market, customer needs and stakeholder requirements
  • Excellent understanding of Perk Event value proposition.
  • Proactive mindset - you are persistent, resilient, with a "humble & scrappy" get-it-done attitude. You thrive in the chaos of a scale-up. You are creative and solution-oriented
  • Perfect written and spoken English. You have hands-on experience creating presentations (e.g. docs or slides) and can engage teams/stakeholders in a room.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyse and interpret performance metrics
  • Ability to design effective training programs
  • Great organisational and interpersonal skills
