About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Sell new commercial construction, infrastructure improvements, and HVAC upgrades or retrofit projects to K-12 school districts throughout Illinois
- Work directly with school district decision-makers, including Superintendents, CFOs, and Business Officers
- Create and develop relationships to win new business and expand existing accounts
- Execute strategic selling initiatives
- Plan and execute bid and proposal activities
- Collaborate with Project Engineers and Project Managers to synchronize internal and external resources and achieve business development and sales objectives
- Build sufficient pipeline to meet or exceed annual sales goals
- Develop and use strategies and pre-call plans to maximize sales call effectiveness
- Qualify opportunities early and disengage from deals that are not a fit
- Cultivate relationships to win new business and expand existing accounts
- Orchestrate appropriate PSI and customer resources to take control of deals
- Tailor sales messages across multiple buying audiences
- Convey industry and technical expertise to decision-makers and influencers
- Educate customers on ways to improve their business
- Design strategic and creative business solutions with the team
- Teach for differentiation to justify PSI methodologies and handle objections
- Generate attachment to PSI’s value with decision-makers and influencers
- Use insightful discovery questions to identify and influence business needs
- Challenge conventional customer thinking to create new opportunities
- Craft business justifications addressing financial responsibilities to the community

Requirements
