About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and maintain Java server-side services that manage, monitor, and control Android real devices and emulators at scale.
- Work hands-on with the Android system and AOSP (Android Open Source Project) — ADB, device instrumentation, and device communication protocols.
- Research and integrate non-public APIs and device behaviors to unlock new product capabilities.
- Contribute to tooling that keeps devices healthy, connected, and available.
- Debug real-world issues across the full stack — from a Java service down to device-level behavior.
- Collaborate with a global team through code review, pairing, and continuous learning.
Requirements
What you’ll need- B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
- 0–2 years of experience — recent graduates welcome; academic or personal projects count.
- Solid foundation in Java and object-oriented design.
- Strong problem-solving skills and genuine curiosity about how systems work under the hood.
- Self-motivated, independent, and self-managed, with a fast-learning mindset and a strong team-player attitude.
- Good English for reading technical documentation and collaborating with a global team.
- Nice to Have (Advantages): Exposure to Android development or the Android platform, familiarity with Android internals, the Android system, or AOSP — ADB, device instrumentation, or the Android framework, any C / C++ experience, understanding of client-server / networking concepts, experience building or consuming backend APIs and services, curiosity about reverse-engineering, protocols, or low-level systems.
