Responsible for compiling payroll information and posting into the general ledger across multiple subsidiaries
Prepare and analyze bonus/commission calculations and entries
Analyze payroll data and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
Assist with the monthly financial close by recording journal entries, preparing account reconciliations and maintaining accurate supporting analysis and documentation
Cross train with and provide back up to other accounting staff
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
1-2 years of accounting experience in a professional environment
An intermediate skill level with MS Office applications (Excel/Word) required and NetSuite experience preferred
Strong understanding of how the general ledger and sub-ledger works and a knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures
Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills, both oral and written
Ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects to meet deadlines and produce high quality work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
