About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct thorough medication reviews for pediatric patients, ensuring appropriateness, safety, and efficacy
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and implement comprehensive medication management plans for pediatric patients
- Provide remote consultations to caregivers to address medication-related concerns
- Educate pediatric patients and their caregivers on proper medication use, potential side effects, and the importance of adherence
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care
- Maintain accurate, timely and up-to-date documentation of medication management interventions
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in pediatric pharmacotherapy through ongoing education and training
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the overall effectiveness of medication management services
Requirements
What you’ll need- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited program; active pharmacy license required
- Additional state licensure, upon request
- Board certification in Pediatric Pharmacy (BCPPS), preferred
- Minimum 4 years of pediatric pharmacy experience with strong clinical knowledge across disease states
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to convey complex information clearly in virtual settings
- Proficient in telehealth platforms, EHR systems, and online collaboration tools
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail and remote documentation accuracy
- Proven ability to work independently, manage caseloads, and meet productivity goals
- Skilled in influencing and engaging patients and providers through effective, empathetic communication
