About the role
- Manage and administer client trading platforms, including MT4, MT5, cTrader, and Pepperstone's in-house trading platform.
- Supervise internal dealing infrastructure to ensure flawless execution, accurate pricing, and effective hedging mechanisms, including liquidity aggregators and proprietary trading infrastructure.
- Monitor critical systems (Trading Systems, Proxy servers, Windows servers, Aggregators, Pricing Engine, Third-party plugins) to detect and address issues proactively.
- Conduct regular health and performance checks on all trading platforms and systems.
- Perform audits on trading platform systems and software to identify and rectify vulnerabilities or discrepancies.
- Address Operations tickets and requests promptly with business sensitivity and urgency.
- Manage processes related to corporate actions, swaps, and other daily operational tasks.
- Investigate trade-related issues, identifying and resolving discrepancies or problems.
- Monitor pricing closely and resolve pricing issues.
- Manage escalations and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and service providers.
- Support regulatory reporting initiatives (transaction reporting, best execution, market abuse surveillance).
Requirements
- Experience in a similar role in the online trading industry
- Prior experience in trading operations or dealing, particularly with MetaTrader 4/5, is preferred. Familiarity with cTrader and Devexperts would be highly advantageous.
- Experience in Database Administration or SQL-based reporting is a plus.
- Ability to investigate issues using logs and generate simple database queries (SQL).
- Adaptability to a fast-paced environment, with a strong inclination towards continuous self-learning.
- Strong analytical skills, effective time management, and the ability to solve complex problems.
- Excellent proficiency in both written and spoken English is required.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, handle weekend tasks, and adapt to varying shifts.
