About the role
- Define, support, and maintain quality assurance processes using industry best practices
- Take ownership of test planning and execution across functional and non-functional areas
- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and engineering teams
- Design, maintain, and execute comprehensive test cases and test scenarios for web and API-based applications
- Perform exploratory, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing
- Lead defect reporting, triage, and root-cause analysis
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and provide quality insights during backlog refinement, planning, and retrospectives
- Contribute to the improvement of software development lifecycle processes with a focus on quality outcomes and risk reduction
- Collaborate with automation engineers to identify automation opportunities
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in quality assurance
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, processes, and tools
- Experience in testing web and mobile applications
- Hands-on experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira AIO, Zephyr)
- Familiarity with NFR testing practices, including performance, accessibility, usability, and security testing
- Awareness of automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Selenium)
- Proven ability to own QA initiatives, influence team quality practices
- Strong communication and analytical skills, with the ability to work effectively with global, cross-functional teams
- Prior experience in Payments/FinTech or testing event-driven systems is a strong plus
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying up to date with QA and software testing trends.
