About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prospect and generate leads
  • Meet or exceed revenue, gross margin percentage, and gross margin dollar targets
  • Develop proposals using pricing guidelines and escalate exceptions
  • Manage the sales process and pipeline using Salesforce
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with recruiters, safety, service, and other stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with the general labor and other TrueBlue brands to share leads and promote customer growth
  • Ensure all safety processes and procedures are observed
  • Build customer relationships while spending at least 75% of time customer-facing
  • Obtain detailed and accurate job descriptions per SOP
  • Manage participation in industry and strategic community organizations
  • Manage aging within terms
  • Interact internally and externally with managers and above at the department level
  • Manage and cultivate relationships with contractors and subcontractors through outside and inside sales
  • Identify customer leads, cold call, gain appointments, and execute the sales funnel through close

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2+ years of direct, outside sales, or B2B experience, preferably in construction and/or staffing
  • Strong knowledge of the construction industry is a plus
  • Experience building sales territories rather than inheriting established markets
  • Business acumen, including financial performance and customer relationship development and maintenance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to persuade, present, negotiate, follow up, and close
  • Advanced problem-solving skills, including defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, drawing valid conclusions, and making decisions
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with identified sales strategies and ability to work independently
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects independently and meet deadlines under pressure
  • Ability to interact effectively with and build relationships across a diverse employee population and client base
  • Bilingual language skills are a plus
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent required
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 25 pounds
  • Must observe applicable safety processes and procedures
