About the role
- Build the Workflow Automation Engine
- Architect and develop our core workflow automation platform
- Create HR-specific workflow templates: time-based triggers, analytical thresholds, event-driven processes (onboarding, offboarding, leave management), and webhook integrations
- Build our natural language workflow builder, enabling HR teams to create automations through plain text prompts
- Drive Full-Stack Platform Development
- Own complete features end-to-end, from database schema to API to polished UI
- Develop our scalable integration framework connecting Slack, Teams, email, and core HR systems (Personio, DATEV, SAP)
- Shape our People Data Platform: robust data modeling, custom fields, and data quality monitoring
- Integrate AI & Agentic Capabilities
- Extend our proprietary AI agent Tira with automation capabilities
- Build intelligent triggers and AI-powered recommendations that drive real workflow execution
- Pioneer agentic experiences that redefine how HR teams interact with their data
- Collaborate at High Velocity
- Partner directly with our CTO and cross-functional teams to ship features rapidly
- Work closely with customers to iterate based on real-world feedback
- Take full accountability from concept through deployment and production monitoring
- Shape Our Engineering Culture
- Play a foundational role in defining our technical standards, team dynamics, and development practices
- Influence architecture decisions and product direction as we scale further
- Help build a world-class engineering organization from the ground up
Requirements
- 3+ years of proven excellence in frontend: Expert-level React and TypeScript; you write clean, performant, maintainable code
- Backend: Deep experience building robust APIs with Node.js
- Database: Strong SQL skills (PostgreSQL preferred); you understand query optimization and data modeling
- Workflow & Integration Systems: Experience building or working with automation platforms, event-driven architectures, or integration frameworks
- Product Delivery: Demonstrated track record of shipping high-quality, user-facing features in production
- Ownership Mindset: You operate autonomously, move fast, and take full responsibility for outcomes in high-trust environments
- Strong Preference For: Experience with tRPC, Prisma, or similar type-safe APIs and ORMs
- T3 Stack experience (Next.js, Tailwind CSS, tRPC, Prisma)
- Building AI-powered or agentic product experiences
- Startup experience with demonstrated impact
- B2B SaaS product development
- Proficiency with AI-assisted development (Cursor, Copilot, or AI coding agents)
