Head of Design

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the design operation
- Act as the technical reference for the area, providing strategic direction and consultative support
- Centralize intake and routing of design requests
- Monitor and coordinate design agendas, ensuring adherence to established strategic guidelines
- Curate and validate visual deliverables, maintaining quality and consistency standards
- Contribute to scoping and timeline estimation
- Manage the team's time and organizational structure
- Coordinate delivery schedules together with other departments
- Propose average production time parameters to serve as a basis for pricing the Agency's services
- Structure the backlog of visual requests, defining priorities based on the team's real capacity
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows
- Collaborate with strategy teams to amplify design's impact on client results
- Create and review strategic materials such as brand books, templates and other visual assets
- Visually plan campaigns and client projects
- Create visual plans for campaigns, new clients and recurring branding activities
- Lead the creation and updating of client visual kits: brand books, templates and deliverable formats
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience leading or coordinating design teams, inside or outside an agency
- Experience with methods: organizes deadlines, backlog and priorities with a clear process
- Attention to detail: reviews before delivery and notices what may have been overlooked
- Heavy social media user: understands formats, language and trends on Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn in practice
- Profile that enjoys managing tasks and projects as much as creating
- Proficient with Figma and Adobe (or equivalents) and with a project management tool such as Asana, Trello or Monday
- Experience in a marketing agency or creative consultancy
- Experience with motion graphics and basic video editing
