About the role
- Senior Platform Engineer role at an AI-powered automation platform transforming revenue teams; influence platform architecture and developer workflows.
- Architect scalable, resilient, and cost-efficient platform infrastructure.
- Design systems for large-scale distributed workloads with high reliability.
- Establish best practices for observability, monitoring, and incident response.
- Lead design, provisioning, and management of infrastructure in Google Cloud Platform (GKE, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Cloud SQL).
- Implement infrastructure as code (Terraform, Pulumi, or equivalent).
- Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines and improve developer productivity through tooling and automation.
- Champion continuous improvement and reliability in operations.
- Partner with product engineering teams, mentor junior and mid-level engineers, and contribute to technical roadmaps.
Requirements
- 6+ years in platform engineering, DevOps, or related fields, with at least 2 years in a senior/lead role.
- Strong background in designing distributed systems, service-oriented architectures, and infrastructure platforms.
- Deep hands-on expertise with Google Cloud Platform (GCP); experience with AWS/Azure is a plus.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform (or similar), and CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, etc.).
- Proficiency in one or more languages (Go, Python, Java, etc.) for automation and tooling.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Growth-oriented, pragmatic problem solver who thrives in fast-paced environments.
- (Nice to have) Experience with service mesh and observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
- (Nice to have) Familiarity with data engineering workflows and event-driven systems.
- (Nice to have) Prior experience mentoring teams or leading infrastructure initiatives.
