About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage the functional & non-functional requirements solicitation & requirements management process.
  • Work closely with business and technology stakeholder to facilitate, interview, extract, and document detail functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Liaise with business stakeholders to understand industry trends and business priorities that must be factored into solution designs.
  • Define and communicate system requirements at the appropriate level of detail to ensure requirements are concise enough to drive the establishment of the right technology solution.
  • Analyze and conceptualize design of the solution, working with the Solution Architects, Vendors, Software Developers and Quality Assurance Analysts to achieve the business objectives.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering workshops with business, technology and vendor teams.
  • Build trusted relationships with stakeholders and effectively manage competing priorities, scope changes, and conflicting requirements.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BSc in Business Administration or/and Computer Science
  • 5+ years progressive experience working in a Business Analyst, Solution Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Solution Analyst in a software development environment.
  • Strong business side knowledge of the health and wellness space and ability to rapidly acquire analysis methods and processes using a framework.
  • Understanding of ETL (data transformation) processes, tools and practices, including mapping specifications.
  • CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) and/or Agile-related certifications (PMI-ACP, SAFe Agilist, or Agile BA) are considered an asset.
  • Experience in health benefits, wellness, disability management, insurance, healthcare, or employee benefits industries is considered an asset.
