About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Monitor, control, and optimize interfaces (IDocs, qRFC and EWM queues) in the production environment (approximately 6.5 million IDocs per year).
  • Ensure system stability and efficiency through proactive monitoring and incident resolution.
  • Analyze interface errors, data inconsistencies, and performance issues, implementing sustainable solutions.
  • Collaborate with consulting teams, application developers, systems operations, and external partners (e.g., Seeburger).
  • Drive process improvements and contribute to the continuous optimization of integration scenarios.
  • Define, maintain, and enforce standards and guidelines across different applications, such as: Development guidelines; Authorization concepts; Interface standards.
  • Support and govern data exchange processes between SAP and non-SAP systems.
  • Analyze structured data and perform mappings between different systems and formats.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
  • Advanced/Fluent English required.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP integration architectures and key interface technologies, such as IDoc, ALE, ABAP/OO, SQL, and backend integration (Web Services).
  • Experience analyzing structured data and performing data mapping.
  • Good knowledge of structured data formats such as EDIFACT, ZUGFeRD, ARIBA, and tools related to data transformation.
  • Knowledge of ABAP/OO programming, SQL, and backend system integration (experience with SAP UI5 is desirable).
  • Good understanding of end-to-end business processes, especially in logistics and the enterprise value chain.
  • Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of multidisciplinary, international teams.
