About the role

  • Oversee and maintain a cohesive artistic style aligned with the game's creative direction.
  • Provide clear, constructive feedback to artists and internal and external partners.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Art Director to design and optimize art pipelines, balancing visual quality and performance.
  • Serve as the guardian of visual quality through daily reviews and milestone approvals.
  • Mentor and develop internal and external art teams, fostering growth and collaboration.
  • Coordinate with Production and leads to ensure quality goals and deadlines are met.
  • Consolidate and present feedback for internal and external reviews.
  • Actively participate in recruiting and evaluating new talent for the art department.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 to 10 years' experience in AAA console/PC game development, including a leadership role.
  • Involvement in the full delivery of at least one shipped AAA title.
  • Portfolio demonstrating strong artistic creativity across multiple game disciplines.
  • Strong 2D art and design skills, with expert-level proficiency in Photoshop.
  • Solid knowledge of 3D software (Maya, 3ds Max, Blender, ZBrush) and Adobe Illustrator.
  • Excellent understanding of composition, anatomy, and art theory.
  • Technical mindset and experience integrating art assets into game engines.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to mentor and motivate a multidisciplinary team.
  • Software: Photoshop, Maya, 3ds Max, Blender, ZBrush, Illustrator, presentation software.
