About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Welcome and scope alignment with the accounting firm
  • Lead the kickoff meeting: objectives, scope, milestones, roles
  • Identify the firm’s key contacts and sponsor
  • Clarify scheduling constraints and establish the foundations for a structured collaboration from the very first exchange
  • Deliver the training kit and enroll teams in Pennylane group sessions
  • Run "first steps" workshops focused on key workflows: bookkeeping, review, VAT, and closing
  • Monitor participation, follow up with teams, and ensure everyone gets on board
  • Define prerequisites and set a dated, realistic schedule
  • Organize short, regular issue-resolution sessions
  • Centralize feedback: handle items within your remit and escalate technical topics to the right teams (Migration, Support, Product)
  • Maintain a dashboard: progress, adoption, incidents, risks
  • Produce clear, actionable minutes after each follow-up meeting
  • Prepare a structured handover pack for the team responsible for long-term support
  • Equip the sponsor and internal point of contact to communicate the correct information to their teams
  • Collect field feedback and identify points of friction
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of materials: FAQs, practical guides, and document templates

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience in an accounting firm covering at least three full fiscal cycles — you understand the cycles from the inside: bookkeeping, review, VAT, and year‑end closing
  • Experience in client support or training is a strong plus
  • Comfortable with collaborative tools: Google Workspace, shared spreadsheets, videoconferencing, and asynchronous messaging
  • Professional credibility: firms treat you as an equal; you understand their challenges without needing everything explained
  • Service orientation and reliability: you deliver what you commit, within the timelines you set
  • A drive for continuous improvement: every onboarding is an opportunity to learn and improve
