About the role
- Provides support to Engineering staff on a seasonal basis.
- Involves providing assistance to construction engineers in the location, design or inspection of various engineering projects.
- Participates and assists with various construction engineering projects, both in the office and in the field.
- Reviews roadway, bridge, and traffic construction criteria.
- Reads and interprets inspection/testing reports, engineering drawings/specifications and various maps, including topographic maps.
- Assists in construction inspection, field measurement, and/or quantification of various project related items required for project construction.
- Attends meetings, workshops, and professional development trainings on various aspects of organizational business policies and procedures.
- Performs departmental documentation and administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent certificate.
- Must be currently enrolled into their sophomore, junior or senior year of a post-secondary educational program and be majoring in Civil, Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering for the upcoming fall semester.
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
