About the role

  • The position of Worker’s Compensation Analyst is part of the Service Center team. It provides professional resource support to agencies and communities regarding workers’ compensation incident trending and mitigation, as well as effective claim management.\n
  • Running trend reports, analyzing claim trends, developing risk mitigation strategies, managing claims, and ensuring compliance with regulations.\n
  • Be proactive and innovative in managing risk related to workplace injuries and prevention.\n
  • Some travel may be required. Remote employment is a consideration, but hybrid on-site employment in Boise, ID, Salt Lake City, UT, or Hartford, CT, is preferable.\n

Requirements

  • 5 plus years’ experience in workers’ compensation claims management.\n
  • 5 plus years’ experience in risk trend analysis and developing risk management strategies, preferably in workers’ compensation and/or workplace safety.\n
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.\n
  • Preferred experience in Home Health, Hospice, Senior Living, and/or other healthcare environments.\n
  • Experience with a claims administrator provider, with expertise in day-to-day claims management.\n
  • Experience in analyzing incidents to determine root causes and identify means of preventing recurrence.\n
  • Must be highly organized, disciplined, detail-focused, and able to work independently with multiple clients.\n
  • Demonstrated ability to provide innovative problem-solving and implementation of positive proactive process improvement.\n
  • Effective communications with all levels of employees from caregivers, staff, and management, as well as outside TPAs and governmental agencies.\n
  • Able to quickly and articulately prepare clear and appropriate correspondence and reports.\n
  • Skilled in creating and analyzing claim trend reports from a claim or other risk management software system.\n
  • Skilled in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and able to quickly learn programs.\n
  • Experience with both self-insured and state insurance plans.\n
  • A great sense of humor and a strong desire to help other people perform and develop.
