About the role
- Manage accurate, timely completion and submission of billing, collections, and accounts receivable
- Ensure reimbursement through efficient billing and collections operations
- Conduct final billing audit and issue assignments as necessary
- Ensure compliance with billing regulations and maintain knowledge of payer contracts
- Monitor aged accounts receivable and prepare bad debt reports
- Gather key billing information for reporting to the billing team
- Collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team to strategize billing efficiency
- Supervise billing information system and cash reconciliations
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field, Bachelor’s degree preferred
- At least three years’ experience in health care billing and collections management
- Billing information systems knowledge required
- Knowledge of corporate business management, governmental regulations, and Joint Commission standards
- Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment
- Good communication, negotiation, and public relations skills
- Demonstrated capability to accurately manage detailed information
