About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Learn the basics of bet ticker monitoring
- Carry out price comparisons quickly
- Add accurate and informative bet notes
- Become familiar with internal and external trading tools
- Understand interactions between Vegas and third-party provider consoles and identify when to take action, including price cuts, market suspension, or removal
- Assist Traders with grading, customer support queries, notifications, and manual market creation
- Monitor liabilities, promotions, and anomalies in real time
- Tag suspicious activity and escalate bonus abuse or sharp players
- Assist with exposure dashboards and reporting tasks
- Learn player profiling and basic risk segmentation
Requirements
What you’ll need- Post-secondary degree in a relevant field, such as mathematics, business, or another analytical discipline
- Must be able to work weekends, evenings, holidays, nights, and public holidays
- 1 to 2 years’ experience in a trading environment or assessing and calculating risk within insurance or finance is advantageous
- Good all-round sports betting knowledge and a strong interest in betting and odds required
- Excellent mathematical skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly
- Exceptional time management skills
- High attention to detail and precision in delivery
- Ability to learn quickly and work independently and in a team setting
- Strong initiative and outstanding work ethic
