About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • provide enterprise-level scientific operational leadership across the Penn–CHOP CTSA
  • ensure execution and integration of scientific priorities with a focus on cross-institutional initiatives
  • partner with faculty, staff, community stakeholders, and external collaborators
  • facilitate communication, decision-making, and high-impact initiative execution
  • support workforce development programs and quality improvement efforts
  • align activities across the University of Pennsylvania and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia
  • develop innovative programs such as AI/ML integration and community-driven research

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7 to 10 years of experience with Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts
  • 5 to 7 years of experience with Master of Science or Master of Arts
  • at least 5 years’ experience in an academic setting related to clinical and translational research
  • training and experience in clinical research
  • strong expertise in clinical and translational science
  • stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • knowledge of funding policies and NIH grant procedures
  • excellent technical writing, review, and analytical skills
  • proficiency in MS Office
