About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop donor cultivation, solicitation, engagement, and stewardship strategies for assigned regions
  • Build relationships that support collaboration on prospective donors
  • Manage regional portfolios of major gift prospects
  • Identify and cultivate new relationships with alumni and other constituents
  • Collaborate with school and center directors for prospect strategies
  • Advise on international constituents' interests and needs
  • Assist in planning international trips for university leadership

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts, and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Direct solicitation of six figure gifts from individuals, preferably with emphasis on international fundraising
  • Knowledge of international cross-border charitable giving and various tax regimes
  • Cultural understanding and sensitivity with experience in international markets
  • Ability to function independently and collaboratively in strategy development
  • Extensive international travel required; must travel monthly or bi-monthly
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt to different cultural settings
  • Strong competence with standard software applications
  • Valid Passport and U.S. driver’s license required
