About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan and execute goals for designated alumni populations.
- Organize, motivate, train, and provide service to alumni and volunteers.
- Provide administrative service to assigned Penn Spectrum organizations.
- Assist in the design and implementation of alumni and development programs.
- Contact, recruit, and maintain a pipeline of volunteers for Alumni Relations.
- Compile, track, and analyze data relevant to measuring program effectiveness.
- Liaise with University personnel related to Penn Spectrum Programs.
- Utilize events and networking tools to recruit alumni volunteers.
- Manage Penn Spectrum social media and website content.
- Develop communications vehicles for volunteers.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Science and 1 to 2 years of experience or equivalent education and experience.
- Three to five years' experience preferred in alumni relations, public relations, marketing, and/or similar activities.
- Exceptional writing, administrative, and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with social media platforms.
- Knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and various software platforms.
- Desktop publishing experience or publication design/layout experience.
- Project management and supervision of teams for events and initiatives.
- Knowledge of commonly utilized social platforms.
- Detail oriented and able to balance multiple projects.
- Demonstrated public speaking experience helpful.
- Knowledge of printing and graphics helpful.
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends and travel periodically.
- Thorough knowledge of the University and its resources desirable.
- Initiative and sound judgment in utilizing resources.
- Experience in serving volunteer organizations preferred.
