About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan and execute goals for designated alumni populations.
  • Organize, motivate, train, and provide service to alumni and volunteers.
  • Provide administrative service to assigned Penn Spectrum organizations.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of alumni and development programs.
  • Contact, recruit, and maintain a pipeline of volunteers for Alumni Relations.
  • Compile, track, and analyze data relevant to measuring program effectiveness.
  • Liaise with University personnel related to Penn Spectrum Programs.
  • Utilize events and networking tools to recruit alumni volunteers.
  • Manage Penn Spectrum social media and website content.
  • Develop communications vehicles for volunteers.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor of Science and 1 to 2 years of experience or equivalent education and experience.
  • Three to five years' experience preferred in alumni relations, public relations, marketing, and/or similar activities.
  • Exceptional writing, administrative, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms.
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and various software platforms.
  • Desktop publishing experience or publication design/layout experience.
  • Project management and supervision of teams for events and initiatives.
  • Knowledge of commonly utilized social platforms.
  • Detail oriented and able to balance multiple projects.
  • Demonstrated public speaking experience helpful.
  • Knowledge of printing and graphics helpful.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends and travel periodically.
  • Thorough knowledge of the University and its resources desirable.
  • Initiative and sound judgment in utilizing resources.
  • Experience in serving volunteer organizations preferred.
