About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Plan and execute goals for designated alumni populations.
Organize, motivate, train, and provide service to alumni and volunteers.
Provide administrative service to assigned Penn Spectrum organizations.
Assist in the design and implementation of alumni and development programs.
Contact, recruit, and maintain a pipeline of volunteers for Alumni Relations.
Compile, track, and analyze data relevant to measuring program effectiveness.
Liaise with University personnel related to Penn Spectrum Programs.
Utilize events and networking tools to recruit alumni volunteers.
Manage Penn Spectrum social media and website content.
Develop communications vehicles for volunteers.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor of Science and 1 to 2 years of experience or equivalent education and experience.
Three to five years' experience preferred in alumni relations, public relations, marketing, and/or similar activities.
Exceptional writing, administrative, and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with social media platforms.
Knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and various software platforms.
Desktop publishing experience or publication design/layout experience.
Project management and supervision of teams for events and initiatives.
Knowledge of commonly utilized social platforms.
Detail oriented and able to balance multiple projects.
Demonstrated public speaking experience helpful.
Knowledge of printing and graphics helpful.
Willingness to work evenings and weekends and travel periodically.
Thorough knowledge of the University and its resources desirable.
Initiative and sound judgment in utilizing resources.
Experience in serving volunteer organizations preferred.
