About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide technical and research support to update UPENN ration balancing
  • Expand and update a dairy decision tool suite incorporating on-farm production data
  • Develop and launch a benchmarking tool for PA dairy farmers
  • Investigate and apply new non-linear programming technique to existing tools
  • Re-launch and modernize dairy decision dashboard program
  • Development of crop optimization tool and economic opportunity program
  • Develop robotic feeding optimizer program
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor of Science and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Advanced training in non-linear optimization programming
  • Extensive experience in mathematical modeling
  • A working knowledge of the dairy industry is preferred
