About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as the primary technical owner of the University’s NetApp storage infrastructure
Manage the day-to-day administration of NetApp systems
Responsible for the disaster recovery strategy and execution
Maintain and optimize the AWS Storage Gateway
Lead storage-related initiatives and establish standards
Implement data protection and security controls

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor of Science and minimum of 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Enterprise storage engineering experience in large-scale, complex environments
Expertise in administration and support of NAS (NFS/SMB/CIFS) and SAN (iSCSI/Fibre Channel) environments
Strong understanding of data protection and resiliency technologies
Proven experience in senior engineering capacity with performance tuning and capacity planning
Solid understanding of networking concepts related to storage infrastructure
Experience with scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell, Python, or Ansible
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and technical documentation skills
Preferred: Expertise across leading storage vendors and cloud storage technologies
