About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coordinate day-to-day Dean's Office operations, providing backup administrative coverage for the Dean.
- Greet and assist visitors to the Dean’s Office.
- Manage Dean's Office business processes including vendor contracts and budget tracking.
- Provide administrative support to the Chief of Staff.
- Draft, format, fact-check, and proofread briefing notes and other materials.
- Manage logistics and operations for meetings and coordinate calendars and resources.
- Plan and deliver Dean's Office-led events and manage event budgets.
- Monitor and triage the Dean's Office inbox and draft routine responses as appropriate.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
What you’ll need- A Bachelor's degree and 2-3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Suite applications.
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Capable of building trust by demonstrating competence, discretion, and thoughtfulness.
- Capability to manage up with senior colleagues.
- Preferred: At least 3 years of relevant experience in project management and administrative support roles in higher education.
- Meticulous with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrate a high level of discretion with confidential information.
- Robust problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment with flexibility to shifting priorities.
