About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintain, configure, and support cloud-based platforms used by administrative departments, faculty, staff, and students
  • Perform ongoing administration and maintenance of cloud services to ensure reliability, security, and data privacy
  • Maintain, configure, and manage hosted websites on Pantheon and on-premise webservers
  • Work with stakeholders to define standards, best practices, and long-term plans for services
  • Document configurations, procedures, and service changes
  • Provide support for troubleshooting, access, and issue resolution as needed
  • Participate in on-call support rotation during non-business hours for urgent service issues or outages.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 1-2 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated experience with Cloud services, particularly Google Workspace for Education
  • Experience with WordPress and PHP highly desirable
  • Experience with Apache and webservers
  • Experience working in Linux environments
  • Working knowledge scripting in Shell, Perl, and Python
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply technologies.
