About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintain, configure, and support cloud-based platforms used by administrative departments, faculty, staff, and students
- Perform ongoing administration and maintenance of cloud services to ensure reliability, security, and data privacy
- Maintain, configure, and manage hosted websites on Pantheon and on-premise webservers
- Work with stakeholders to define standards, best practices, and long-term plans for services
- Document configurations, procedures, and service changes
- Provide support for troubleshooting, access, and issue resolution as needed
- Participate in on-call support rotation during non-business hours for urgent service issues or outages.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 1-2 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Demonstrated experience with Cloud services, particularly Google Workspace for Education
- Experience with WordPress and PHP highly desirable
- Experience with Apache and webservers
- Experience working in Linux environments
- Working knowledge scripting in Shell, Perl, and Python
- Strong interpersonal, written, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Ability to quickly learn and apply technologies.
