About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a post award grants manager in Engineering Post-Award Research Services
  • Responsible for the financial reporting of grant awards including oversight of award budgeting
  • Manage funds, reporting and expenditure rates, and meet individually with faculty to manage expenditure projections
  • Approve and oversee subcontracts expenditures and allocate payroll for PI and research group members
  • Advise PIs of allowability issues for planned expenditures
  • Oversee close-out processes and respond to audit questions involving research expenditures
  • Help develop and establish research services post award policies and expectations
  • Oversee and manage PIs’ unrestricted funds, including start-up funding and discretionary research funding

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 3 to 5 years of post award grants management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
