About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide financial oversight and operational leadership for the New Bolton Center Large Animal Hospital
  • Partner with Hospital operations to monitor revenue cycle and provide feedback
  • Ensure timely billing and collections on open receivables
  • Track, analyze, and report key financial metrics such as revenue, charges, collections, expenses, and resource utilization
  • Maintain responsibility for the annual budget process and quarterly forecasts
  • Perform periodic reviews of various business functions and develop standard operating procedures
  • Serve as a liaison for EMR implementation and support stabilization post-go live
  • Participate in School and University-wide initiatives and process improvement efforts

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor of Science and 5 to 7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • A Master’s Degree is preferred.
  • Strong analytical background and strong working knowledge of spreadsheet and database software.
  • Ability to manage complex tasks and work independently, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary.
  • Knowledge of BEN Financials, Business Objects/Data Warehouse, Planning, and other University of Pennsylvania Systems is preferred but not required.
