About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide financial oversight and operational leadership for the New Bolton Center Large Animal Hospital
Partner with Hospital operations to monitor revenue cycle and provide feedback
Ensure timely billing and collections on open receivables
Track, analyze, and report key financial metrics such as revenue, charges, collections, expenses, and resource utilization
Maintain responsibility for the annual budget process and quarterly forecasts
Perform periodic reviews of various business functions and develop standard operating procedures
Serve as a liaison for EMR implementation and support stabilization post-go live
Participate in School and University-wide initiatives and process improvement efforts

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor of Science and 5 to 7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
A Master’s Degree is preferred.
Strong analytical background and strong working knowledge of spreadsheet and database software.
Ability to manage complex tasks and work independently, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary.
Knowledge of BEN Financials, Business Objects/Data Warehouse, Planning, and other University of Pennsylvania Systems is preferred but not required.
