About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Ensure systems for management and logistical execution of events are developed and executed
  • Handle logistics for multiple events simultaneously
  • Serve as a knowledge expert in Cvent software
  • Assist Director with high level Law School events
  • Ensure coordination of the Penn Carey Law events calendar
  • Develop reports on events and maintain data sources
  • Manage logistics for a variety of Law School events
  • Organize travel and hotel reservations for guests
  • Develop and implement systems for making hotel block reservations
  • Staff conferences and symposia; prepare materials and manage reservations
  • Perform event follow up and collaborate with event partners

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • B.A. or B.S. required
  • 3 to 5 years of increasing programming responsibility
  • Portfolio of creative, innovative, exciting work
  • High technical competence and ability to learn software(s) quickly
  • Experience with Cvent preferred
  • Established track record as collaborator in the workplace
  • Management experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize and execute events
  • Experience working with various constituencies including vendors and caterers
  • Must be available to work occasional weekends and/or after regular business hours and travel for events as needed
