About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate trial-related activities to ensure execution of trials per protocol and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain regulatory documents per sponsor requirements, University of Pennsylvania, FDA, and GCP standards.
  • Prepare for and participate in study monitoring and audit visits.
  • Communicate with potential patients, perform pre-screening, scheduling, consenting, and enrolling patients.
  • Ensure all enrolled subjects have documented eligibility checklist and signed consent forms.
  • Coordinate research visits; maintain source documentation, data collection, and complete CRFs.
  • Obtain, handle, process, transfer/ship biospecimens when applicable.
  • Track AE/SAE, maintain documentation, and study logs.
  • Coordinate with regulatory specialists for necessary reports.
  • Conduct follow-up phone calls to participants; track participants through timepoints.
  • Upload data to relevant databases, perform data QC and address queries.
  • Perform research billing reviews and subject reimbursements when applicable.
  • Document all trainings and essential correspondence related to study.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor of Science and 1 to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required for Clinical Research Coordinator A.
  • Bachelor’s degree and 2-3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required for Clinical Research Coordinator B.
  • Regulatory experience preferred; Radiation Oncology experience preferred but not required.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and writing skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Flexibility and ability to multi-task.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently.
  • Knowledge of IRB and human research protection regulations.
  • High reliability and good work ethic.
