About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop, coordinate, and assess programming for roughly 18,000 graduate and professional students
- Collaborate with other campus centers and departments for targeted programming
- Supervise program coordinator and a team of fellows to assist with professional development
- Lead and facilitate academic writing and research communication workshops
- Coordinate annual Three Minute Thesis competition and writing retreats
- Develop and maintain a programming calendar to ensure diverse and well-executed events
- Assist in advising and supervising GAPSA programs and student events
- Maintain leadership manuals, guidelines, and websites for graduate student leaders
- Support the Grad Center Executive Director on programming and operations
- Represent the Grad Center at open houses and resource fairs
- Solicit and analyze feedback from students to refine programs and outreach
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts
- 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- Master’s degree in academic discipline strongly preferred
- Experience working with graduate and professional students in an administrative or professional role
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with diverse groups
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with sensitivity to diverse student needs
- Demonstrated experience in developing, administering, and assessing programs, workshops, or similar events
- Outstanding writing and presentation skills
- High level of organization and project management skills
- Preference for candidates with supervisory, budgetary, and facility management skills
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
