About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead library services and asynchronous learning supports for online community of learners.
- Design, deliver, and assess virtual library services, instructional resources, and student support initiatives.
- Collaborate with instructors, instructional designers, and academic leaders to integrate library resources into the learner experience.
- Teach and assess information literacy courses to support student research skills.
- Develop learning objects, tutorials, and instructional resources supporting research and information literacy.
- Provide direct support to students through research consultations and instructional sessions.
- Manage digital library resources and evaluate content for accessibility and alignment with institutional needs.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master's degree in Library and Information Science (MLIS), Master of Library Science (MLS), or equivalent degree from an ALA-accredited program.
- Experience designing and delivering online instruction, digital learning objects, or library services that support remote learners.
- Experience providing virtual library services, academic support, or research assistance in online educational environments.
- Demonstrated ability to create engaging instructional content and learner-centered support resources.
- Strong technology skills, including the ability to learn and manage multiple digital platforms and systems.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities independently in a remote work environment.
- Motivated, self-directed contributor with a clear vision for library services in online learning environments.
