About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partner with Account Directors and Customer Engineers to qualify Professional Services opportunities and distinguish transformation gaps from tooling gaps.
- Lead scoping conversations with customer stakeholders, define the problem, validate appetite, design engagement structures, and author Statements of Work that are commercially sound and delivery-ready.
- Design and build technical solutions that extend Pendo’s capabilities and integrate with customer systems.
- Own multiple complex technical projects end-to-end, including data engineering and system integration work.
- Advise customers on data architecture, integration patterns, and long-term technical strategy.
- Build reusable code libraries and frameworks that scale across the Professional Services team.
- Identify patterns across engagements and turn them into reusable playbooks and documentation.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role within B2B SaaS, with hands-on experience writing custom code and building integrations.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Python, or Node.js, with the ability to write production-quality backend code.
- Deep experience with APIs, data pipelines, integration patterns, ETL processes, and data modeling.
- SQL proficiency and strong data modeling expertise.
- Experience working with REST APIs, webhooks, and event-driven architectures.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex data concepts into business value for both technical and business stakeholders.
- Experience leading technical transformation initiatives and data infrastructure projects.
