About the role

  • Design, build, and optimize data visualization tools that empower public-sector and non-profit leaders to make smarter, data-driven decisions.
  • Work with complex and varied datasets, build relationships across disparate files, and develop clean, reliable data models that are ready for analysis.
  • Create best-in-class visualizations and analysis with rigorous attention to detail.

Requirements

  • Skilled in creating data visualizations using business intelligence software, ideally with experience in Power BI (strongly preferred) and/or significant experience with Tableau
  • At least three years of experience in a role focused on data analysis including SQL/relational databases; three or more years preferred
  • Experience working with data sets in various conditions/formats and which require building relationships across disparate files to create a comprehensive data model
  • Skilled in cleaning, standardizing, filtering, and transforming data to create datasets ready to be analyzed and displayed graphically
  • Understands what makes for a compelling visualization, can “tell a story” using data, and can draw insights from large datasets
