About the role
- Use Agency management systems to accurately and efficiently document customer correspondence and record policy-related information and customer/prospect data.
- Support outbound sales campaigns as needed.
- Sell new Property and Casualty policies from within PEMCO's office via inbound and outbound channels including telephone calls, email and internet leads to meet sales goals.
- Provide customer service to existing customers, while strategically taking opportunities to cross-sell at appropriate times.
- Accurately explain policy coverages, endorsements and/or limitations and provide consultative advice and solutions to meet the customer needs.
- Demonstrate behaviors consistent with PEMCO's policies, values, code of ethics and business conduct.

Requirements
- B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent work experience (Business degree or similar)
- 2 years of experience in a sales and service professional role with increasing levels of responsibility is required
- Property & Casualty or financial industry experience, or previous experience with Applied / EPIC agency management system
- Property/Casualty License
- Business Environment: Has a thorough understanding of our industry, the relevant business landscape, trends in growth and insurance environments; the ability to spot early indicators of change and apply strategies to adapt quickly is required
- Job specific: Skilled proficiency with contact management software applications is required
- Organizational Savvy: Interfaces cross-functionally with both technical depth and business savvy. Understands company goals and objectives; thinks critically about business challenges and resolutions. Demonstrates keen listening and observation skills is required
- MS Office: Skilled proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook is required
- Job specific: Success in negotiating, overcoming objections, closing sales and executing standard sales agreements is required
- Sales: Has a proven track record of revenue growth and sales success through negotiation; builds long-term customer relationships for PEMCO
