About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a senior technical resource for the architecture, administration, security, stability, and continuous improvement of the Microsoft infrastructure environment
- Design and optimize Hyper-V virtualization, Microsoft Intune endpoint management, Microsoft 365 services, and hybrid identity through Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting and Tier 3 escalation support across Windows Server, Group Policy, PKI, Veeam, Citrix, and related infrastructure technologies
- Lead and execute transformative enterprise infrastructure projects
- Eliminate technical debt through migrations and upgrades while modernizing processes
- Implement and manage backup, recovery, high-availability, and disaster-recovery strategies
- Monitor system health, manage patching and platform lifecycles, and remediate vulnerabilities
- Establish infrastructure standards and maintain operational documentation, configuration records, policies, and procedures
- Provide technical guidance, knowledge transfer, and mentorship to other administrators
- Participate in incident response, on-call support, and planned maintenance outside normal business hours
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years of hands-on experience with system administration
- Proven expertise managing device compliance, configuration profiles, app deployment, conditional access, MDM/MAM, and Autopilot via Microsoft Intune
- Hyper-V design, deployment, administration, clustering, live migration, and capacity planning
- Deep hands-on experience administering Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and Microsoft 365 security/compliance in an enterprise tenant
- Windows Server and desktop operating system administration, patching, and hardening
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, PKI, and SCCM
- Citrix CVAD and PVS administration; NetScaler experience is a plus
- Enterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions; Veeam preferred
- Proficiency with PowerShell and command-line scripting
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and firewall concepts
- Ability to participate in on-call support, incident response, and planned maintenance outside normal business hours
