About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare and run payroll processes and reports for weekly, biweekly, and special payroll cycles
- Review time and attendance systems and correct out-of-balance situations
- Calculate military and jury duty pay
- Process garnishments and levies
- Post pay, tax status, and miscellaneous changes
- Enter and set up miscellaneous deductions and reimbursements
- Assist payroll team members during vacations and work overloads
- Test and implement enhancements to the HR/Payroll HCM system
- Handle special projects and research as assigned
- Document, cross-train, and improve payroll processes
- Interact frequently with internal and external customers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate’s degree with two to three years of experience, or non-degreed with 5+ years of payroll experience
- Knowledge of garnishments preferred
- Ability to complete payroll calculations accurately
- Ability to efficiently analyze results and identify errors
- Proficiency with Advanced Excel, Word, and OneNote
- Comfortable creating and understanding Excel formulas
- UKG Dimensions, Oracle Fusion and Service Now experience is beneficial
- Willingness to learn federal and state payroll laws
- Solid analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
