About the role
- Manage and implement projects that enhance Pella’s window or door products
- Utilize Pella’s continuous improvement and problem solving methodologies to improve manufacturing processes
- Modify and improve manufacturing processes to improve quality, increase reliability, reduce costs, and eliminate waste
- Develop next generation manufacturing processes and equipment
- Specify, design, and procure equipment required to support new product initiatives
- Implement new processes in manufacturing from concept through full production
- Work closely with assigned manager and mentor on strategic projects and focused developmental opportunities
- Focus on developing competencies and engineering skills similar to entry-level engineers
Requirements
- Pursuing a B.S. from a four-year college or university in an Engineering field
- Strong academic candidate with Leadership Experience both inside and outside the classroom
- Ability to use the following software applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, AutoCad, and Solid Edge (or equivalent)
- Ability to effectively communicate to technical and non-technical team members utilizing written and verbal skills, including presentations to small and large groups
- Experience managing projects from concept through implementation, in a fast-paced, team-based environment
- Post-offer background check and drug screen required
- Participation in E-Verify / verification of work authorization
