Develops relationships and works closely with selected insurance agencies focused on commercial insurance
Responsible for underwriting, classing, rating, and binding risks in the field
Follows corporate underwriting and pricing guidelines for profitable commercial growth
Maintains and develops professional working relationships with agents, loss control, rating and sales teams
Produces desired commercial lines growth with profitable results
Qualifies, rates, and binds commercial risks for agencies
Monitors agency results for growth and profitability
Acts as a liaison between agents and the company
Researches and advises company of changes within the industry
Travels to agencies within the state to assist in writing commercial risks.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
5+ years of experience in underwriting, field underwriting
3+ years’ experience in underwriting or agency management, preferred
Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) preferred
Demonstrated skill in listening and communicating
Demonstrated ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines
Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office software
