About the role

  • Completing all accounting related transactions timely and accurately in adherence to the close schedule
  • Assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual processing of operational accounting work
  • Promoting continuous process improvement within the accounting area
  • Reconciling bank statements and accounts monthly
  • Preparing journal entries and reconciling various accounts
  • Communicating effectively with internal and external customers
  • Assisting with annual unclaimed property reporting
  • Assisting with monthly processing of statistical data needed for financials
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Typically requires 1-3 years accounting experience
  • Professional accounting or insurance designations preferred
  • Basic ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form
  • Basic skill in situational analysis and judgment in making critical decisions
  • Basic knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Good to have skills: Excel, Office Connect, Workday
