About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate and facilitate onboarding and offboarding processes, including new hire packets, employment documentation, personnel files, and separation tasks
  • Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS and personnel filing systems, including driver documentation, I-9 documentation, and certification records
  • Support recruitment by assisting with job postings and promoting open positions across recruiting and social media platforms
  • Serve as a point of contact for routine employee inquiries about HR processes, policies, benefits, and employment documentation
  • Support HR reporting initiatives, maintain accurate HR data, and streamline communication across HR and company leadership
  • Create, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for assigned responsibilities
  • Assist with benefits administration, employee status updates, and other administrative HR functions
  • Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations by maintaining documentation, assisting with audits, and helping ensure policy adherence
  • Maintain knowledge of HR trends, employment law updates, HR technologies, and best practices through professional development and training
  • Partner with the HR Team on departmental initiatives, special projects, and process improvements
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2+ years of previous work experience as an HR Administrator, HR Coordinator, or similar position
  • Relevant HR certification such as aPHR, PHR, or SHRM-CP preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Proficiency with or ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems
  • Familiarity with social media recruiting, resume databases, and professional networks
