About the role
- Engage with business stakeholders to gather, document, and validate requirements.
- Translate requirements into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
- Collaborate with the development team to ensure a shared understanding of features.
- Support sprint planning, backlog refinement, and UAT sessions.
- Use Databricks knowledge to understand data workflows and business logic for better requirement mapping.
- Create, maintain, and execute automation test scripts for frontend (React), backend APIs (Golang), and data pipelines (Databricks).
- Use AI-assisted QA tools to accelerate test case creation, defect prediction, and root-cause analysis.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
- Implement API testing (Postman, REST Assured, etc.) and database validation (SQL, Spark SQL).
- Maintain defect logs and track resolution in tools like Jira.
- Contribute to setting up and improving CI/CD-integrated automated testing pipelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Business Analysis and Quality Assurance roles.
- Strong automation experience with tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar.
- Experience with AI-assisted QA tools
- Familiarity with Databricks workflows and data validation.
- API testing experience with Postman, REST Assured, or similar.
- Understanding of React UI testing (Cypress/Playwright) and backend API testing for Golang services.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and SDLC best practices.
- Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, k6).
- Understanding of Spark SQL for validating data in Databricks.
- Experience integrating automated tests in CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
- ISTQB or IIBA certification is a plus.
