About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design and build new features that allow users to engage with their paycheck through different financial means
- Enhance and reimagine the UX interface for how our users provide their financial information, and how they engage with their monetary accounts associated with their job
- Build seamless 3rd party integrations with payment vendors that help enhance Pebl’s capabilities and abilities to pay our users
- Sharpen and delight our customers experience invoices to provide rich and robust data and insights
- Establish and standardize the frontend best practices for the invoice and payments domain, creating clean, reusable code, readable documentation, and replicable practices.
- Be the voice of expertise concerning frontend in a primarily fullstack and backend focused team
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, full-stack, with demonstrated strength and a clear preference for frontend/UX work.
- 1+ years of experience building frontends and API frameworks for invoicing or financial systems, or 2+ years building frontends in a domain with either complex forms and dashboards
- Strong command of modern frontend (React/TypeScript) paired with a solid understanding of how frontends integrate with backend services and APIs
- Solid understanding of Frontend best practice design patterns and frameworks, and the expertise to dictate best practices for the team while working cross team in an established frontend system
- Proven experience working with designers and product managers to go from wireframes and mockups to frontend code that is reusable, scalable, and intuitive to use.
- Work with complex forms, such as country or use case specific form generation or validation, is a major plus.
- Experience with AWS, PostgresQL or similar RDBMS systems, and Kubernetes. Comfort and willingness to work across the full stack is critical (backend, infra). While 70-80% of your work will be frontend and API work, this isn’t a pure frontend role.
- A flexible but opinionated mindset - focus on delivering iterative customer impact in a fast paced environment, but also standing firm on building reliably and with an eye for the future. “Strong opinions, held loosely” is the mantra.
