About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Sell digital, print, and service solutions to 2/4-year college institutions
- Achieve or surpass territory sales targets and gain market share through course-based solutions
- Accelerate adoption of subscription-based materials
- Collaborate with specialists and account executives on program-wide and institution-wide solutions
- Conduct back-to-school campaigns
- Collaborate with bookstores to drive sell-through
- Visit campuses and conduct virtual campus days while connecting with 15+ faculty members daily
- Track and forecast sales activity in OneCRM/Salesforce.com
- Drive course adoption into Inclusive Access and upsell additional services
- Plan strategically at territory and adoption levels
- Deliver technology sales presentations to faculty and technology training sessions for students
- Work with Customer Success to support key customers
- Implement company initiatives within the sales territory
- Maintain knowledge of Pearson products, platforms, capabilities, and the education market
- Share successful tactics across district, region, and nationally; participate in cross-functional task forces
- Meet and exceed revenue targets
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and successful work experience
- Minimum of 2 years of outstanding sales performance in the higher education market or a related industry
- Proficiency with Office tools, mobile technologies, computer applications, and business systems
- Ability to connect with 15+ faculty members daily
- Effective consultative sales skills
- Strong organizational, follow-up, prioritization, and deadline-management skills
- Strong written, oral, and presentation communication skills
- Analytical skills for data-based prioritization and goal tracking
- Ability to adapt quickly to change and learn new technologies and skills
- Ability to build and maintain trust-based customer and colleague relationships
- Determination, initiative, self-direction, resilience, and collaboration skills
- No relocation package is offered; ideal candidate should be based in or near Cleveland, Ohio
