About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Meet or exceed weekly, monthly, and seasonal sales targets through adoption of course-based and digital learning solutions within Humanities and Social Sciences programs
  • Build, manage, and advance a pipeline of competitive opportunities using market intelligence, customer insights, and data-driven prioritization
  • Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities through in-person campus engagement and virtual selling
  • Execute sales strategies and account plans to drive market share growth and long-term customer value
  • Build trusted relationships with faculty, program directors, department leaders, and institutional decision-makers
  • Deliver presentations, consultative recommendations, and tailored solutions aligned with customer objectives and learner outcomes
  • Use pre-call planning, strategic questioning, and opportunity management to advance deals through the pipeline
  • Maintain knowledge of Pearson’s Humanities and Social Sciences solutions, digital platforms, and learning technologies
  • Partner with local teams and cross-functional stakeholders on pipeline development, customer engagement, and sales execution
  • Maintain pipeline management and accurate CRM reporting for forecasting and business planning
  • Leverage sales tools, analytics platforms, and customer insights to improve sales effectiveness
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment through knowledge sharing and best-practice exchange

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of successful sales experience
  • Experience building, managing, and closing a pipeline of opportunities
  • Experience in Humanities and Social Sciences education services and solutions or related higher education sales environments
  • Proven results in a fast-paced, goal-oriented sales environment
  • Consultative selling, relationship-building, and strategic account management skills
  • Ability to identify customer needs and develop value-creating solutions
  • High self-motivation, initiative, accountability, and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Strong analytical and technology skills
  • Experience with CRM systems, virtual presentation platforms, sales analytics tools, Salesforce, Tableau, and related business systems
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills

  • Passion for digital learning solutions and innovation in Humanities and Social Sciences education
