Advanced Specialist, Product Management

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop a deep understanding of institutional and corporate customer needs through research, data, and direct engagement.
- Translate customer insights into clearly defined problems and prioritised opportunities.
- Define and track relevant KPIs to measure the impact of product changes on customer experience.
- Advocate for the user throughout the product development cycle.
- Define, refine, and prioritise product features and enhancements, balancing customer value, business goals, and technical feasibility.
- Write clear, concise user stories and acceptance criteria that engineering and design can act on without ambiguity.
- Maintain a well-groomed section of the product roadmap, keeping stakeholders informed of progress and trade-offs.
- Collaborate with engineering, design, and QA to deliver high-quality, on-time releases.
- Partner with engineering to identify and address friction in user journeys across the LMS platform.
- Contribute to initiatives that improve the underlying systems architecture, supporting faster and more reliable delivery.
- Ensure that product changes integrate smoothly with existing services and minimise disruption to live users.
- Communicate product plans, progress, and decisions clearly to cross-functional partners and senior stakeholders.
- Gather and synthesise feedback from internal teams, customers, and market data to sharpen product direction.
- Build productive working relationships with peers in engineering, design, marketing, and customer success.
- Participate actively in agile ceremonies—sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Work with the Scrum Master and team lead to improve delivery processes and team productivity.
- Bring an agile, iterative mindset to problem-solving: test assumptions early and learn fast.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 7+ years of product management experience, ideally in a B2B or SaaS environment.
- Proven ability to own a product area end-to-end: discovery, definition, delivery, and iteration.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; able to explain complex ideas simply.
- Solid understanding of agile frameworks and hands-on experience working in agile teams.
- Analytical approach to decision-making: comfortable with data, metrics, and ambiguity.
- Technical fluency sufficient to engage meaningfully with engineering on architecture and feasibility questions.
- Experience in the education sector or with learning management systems is a plus.
